The Chief Inspector of Education for Scotland will be responsible for leading Education Scotland with impact and authority, building an increasingly confident, respected and influential organisation. Transforming Lives Through Learning

Education Scotland was created on 1st July 2011, bringing together the work of Learning and Teaching Scotland, Her
Majesty’s Inspectorate of Education for Scotland, the National CPD team and the Scottish Government’s Positive Behaviour Team. It was established as the Scottish Government’s integrated national development and improvement agency for education, providing support and challenge right through from the early years to adult learning.

Working with the education community, Education Scotland aims to allow each learner and practitioner within Scotland to recognise their full potential by giving them the tools to allow them to grow and develop as individuals throughout their journey within education and beyond.

Education Scotland is here to make an impact; to support learning and teaching throughout the country and develop the curriculum for education to enable us, as a nation, to transform lives through learning.

With several offices based around Scotland, the organisation is made up of professionals with a passion for making a difference and shaping the future of Education; many of whom are seconded directly from schools and other partner organisations. Secondees who work as part of the team joined Education Scotland to help us make a difference and shape the future of learning and teaching.

At Education Scotland we believe it's people who make a difference and your contribution would be welcomed.
