Up to 37 hours per week (full time), 52 weeks per year  

A rewarding opportunity to work at First Steps Bersted, a full day care nursery situated in the unique setting of a former public house.  The nursery has two specially designed areas for our Caterpillars (babies and toddlers) and Butterflies (children preparing to start school).  

Both areas offer resources and activities designed to enable the children to explore and investigate the world around them, with all day access to their own nursery garden.  Working with young babies through to children ready to start school, you will be dedicated to providing the highest level of care and education, whilst, together with our dedicated team, ensuring the children are learning, socialising, exploring and having fun. 

With a recognised Level 2 and/or Level 3 (or equivalent) qualification in Early Years, Care and Education, you will be enthusiastic, organised and flexible with previous experience of working in a childcare setting.  

A current First Aid certificate is desirable. 

Full-time, part-time and maternity cover contracts are available.

Chichester College is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational, general further education college situated in West Sussex. It is a 16-plus institution with two main sites in Chichester and Pulborough, plus further outreach centres in Bognor Regis, Littlehampton and Worthing. It has links to local employers, most of a small to medium size. 

Chichester College of Arts, Science and Technology, as it was formerly known, opened in 1964. Chichester College has been offering work-based training since 1996. It has approximately 10,897 part-time learners and 3,732 full-time students.
