Salary:  £9.00 to £10.33 per hour


Hours: Monday - Sunday - 5 of 7 days (8.00am-3.30pm or 3pm -10.30pm)


Location: Closeburn, Dumfriesshire


As a Children’s Support Worker within our residential home, Closeburn House, you will work directly with vulnerable children with Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH) challenges and complex needs. Daily tasks involve providing them with the care, support and opportunities they need to be happy, healthy and to make their way in the world. You will work with our multi-disciplinary team to contribute to individual Quality of Life Plans and provide a balanced programme of personal development focusing on social skills, independence and community involvement enabling the young people to achieve their full potential. You will also be responsible for chaperoning the children to appointments and activities such as shopping or trips to the zoo, completing relevant paperwork, undertaking household tasks and where appropriate administering medication.


Closeburn House is located in beautiful rural location in Dumfriesshire, South West Scotland yet close to principle towns and villages that offer a wealth of interest and beauty - all of which are utilised through 24 hour learning opportunities where appropriate.
