Job overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable tutor to join our team, delivering CIPD Level 3 professional qualifications. In this role, you will help develop students’ skills and understanding through online and blended-learning formats.
Key Responsibilities
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
- Develop and update course materials to ensure content is current, relevant, and aligned with CIPD standards.
- Support candidates with constructive feedback and guidance to aid their progression
- Use the VLE Platform to correspond with Learners and to Assess and Mark formative assessments
- Maintain regular contact with learners and deliver high quality learning and development
- Marking of CIPD Assignments providing positive feedback and supporting areas for improvement.
Generic duties:
• Provide support to groups of students in accordance with college procedures
- Registration of Learner Achievement within college systems and with external awarding bodies
- Participate in course team meetings and provide feedback on issues impacting upon the student experience
- Participate in Internal Verification and prepare for External Verification
- Maintain records of group student attendance and achievements
- Interact with students to monitor knowledge and understanding
- Provide constructive feedback to learners on their performance and following formative and summative assessment
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
Essential Criteria:
- A level 5 qualification in CIPD or HR Management
- Current HR industry and business knowledge
- Experience of course development, delivery and assessment
- Effective Presentation Skills
- Confident to use technology to deliver online sessions.
- Excellent Communication Skills – both individual and group
- Ability to work within a team
- Excellent ICT Skills
Desirable criteria:
- Evidence that they hold the skills to underpin the specific curriculum area of CIPD, HR and management and leadership
- Current membership of CIPD
- Management and Leadership certificate, award or diploma (i.e. ILM or CMI)
- Experience of working in a management and leadership role
- Good time management and organisational skills
- Previous experience of delivery and assessment of Human Resources/Learning and Development qualifications at Levels 3
- Have a passion for learning
