Sutherland House School is seeking an enthusiastic, dynamic class co-ordinator to join our team.
As a class co-ordinator, you will be responsible for the daily management and support of your class group. Working closely with your class team of teaching assistants and link teacher, you will be supporting KS3+ pupils to access their timetabled lessons delivered by subject specialists, delivery of PSHCE and PFA, oversee the daily organisation of the class group and manage and support communication with pupils, parents/carers and other agencies.
As part of a supportive staff team, you will have a passion for improving the lives for autistic pupils and their families. You will have a commitment to supporting with the delivery of lessons and you will engage with a wide range of professionals, including therapists and external agencies to ensure all pupils are reaching their full potential.
Sutherland House School is a non-maintained specialist school for autistic children and young people aged 3-19. The school prides itself on creating personalised learning opportunities with a vision for reaching potential for each individual pupil. We offer small class groups, favourable staffing levels and excellent opportunities for training and professional development. The school has an Ofsted rating of Good. The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
Previous experience of working in an additional need’s environment is desirable however full training and support will be given.
