About Us - What Can You Expect?

We are a small, close knit, happy and supportive early years team. We deliver the British EYFS through a holistic, play based approach which places children’s interests at the heart of our teaching and is inspired by Reggio Emilia and Planning in the Moment pedagogy. We provide children with natural, homely learning environments and open ended and real-life learning materials that reflect the needs of the children and prioritises children’s independence and open ended learning. We passionately believe in providing purposeful, engaging and meaningful learning experiences for our early years pupils.

Our Early Years children learn in a modern, purpose built, EYFS block which includes large classrooms, purposely designed outdoor learning environment, carefully planned continuous provision, specialist ‘little gym’ area, small class sizes and designated Teaching Assistants and specialist teachers.

It is an expectation that SriKDU teachers have detailed knowledge of not only the developmental characteristics and learning needs of the students they teach, but also their personalities and who they are as people. This requires real empathy and skill in meeting the wide variety of individual learning and pastoral needs of international school students with their differing linguistic, cultural and educational circumstances.
