Salary Grade: Main Pay Scale, Spine Points 1-6, plus TLR 2B

Actual Salary Range: £32,157 - £42,624 plus TLR 2B £4,783 per annum

Hours: Full-time, 32.5 hours per week

Duncombe Primary School is looking to appoint a highly skilled class teacher. Are you a dedicated and energetic individual? We are looking to appoint a highly skilled class teacher, who is committed to high standards of achievement and behaviour for all children. Experience in an inner-city setting is desirable, as is the ability to teach in KS1 or KS2.

As Maths lead you will develop on the outstanding work of our AHT, who has ensured that the provision at Duncombe means every child will excel mathematically. Duncombe is an exceptionally well-resourced school that makes leading on maths exciting due to the vast possibilities you can create for the children. 

You will need to have excellent subject knowledge of how mathematical understanding is developed from the Early Years through to the end of Key Stage Two. You will be motivated to read the latest research and theory on teaching maths in order to inform staff members.  In conjunction with the AHT, you will plan engaging, research informed staff training for teachers and teaching assistants on the planning, teaching and assessment of maths across the school. 

You will be an advocate for the concrete, pictorial and abstract approach and have a positive, growth mind-set ensuring that all children make the best possible progress, whatever their need or background.
