Job overview

We are looking for a dynamic, inspirational teacher seeking an opportunity to become a valued leader. The successful candidate will lead English across the school, develop our school library space to inspire a love of reading and ensure effective MFL provision for all pupils. They will support the school’s senior leadership team in the strategic leadership of the school.

 As a Leader of Teaching and Learning with responsibility for English & MFL, the successful candidate will be able to:

· Support whole school development.

. Raise & sustain standards in phonics, reading and writing across the school.

· Make reading for pleasure a key focus for the whole school.

· Ensure our school library supports and inspires all children develop a love of reading.

· Work closely with our French specialist teacher to sustain high standards in MFL.

· Make a significant contribution to the quality of education in the school.

· Be a role model of outstanding primary practice and subject leadership.

· Use current guidance and research to develop the English curriculum.

· Develop our curriculum to spark pupils’ imagination and inspire a love of learning in languages.

· Build partnerships to develop English across the school, with local partners and beyond.
