Class Teacher

St John's CofE Primary SchoolBarnet

Are you a committed and caring practitioner looking to start your career or a teacher looking for a change? Are you passionate about children’s wellbeing and learning?  Are you an enthusiastic individual who will act as a strong role model?  Regardless of experience (including NQTs), if you are driven by helping children to achieve their full potential and want to become part of a nurturing and encouraging team, then we are the school for you!

St John’s CE Primary School N20 is a thriving and popular one-form entry school within the London Borough of Barnet. We enjoy a family atmosphere where every child is well known and highly valued.

“Pupils are very friendly and eager to share their learning. They are hardworking and show a real pride in their school work. They know how to keep safe and how to assess risks when using technology. Pupils are very proud to be at the school and their attitudes to learning are very good.” OFSTED - Good November 2016.

We have a fabulous opportunity for a highly motivated teacher, who possesses all the necessary teaching skills, to develop their career.  The chosen candidate will have a good knowledge of planning, differentiating and modelling to meet the needs of all children in the class. He/she will be dedicated to making learning exciting whilst challenging children of all abilities to allow them to make the best possible progress. He/she will be engaging, conscientious and capable of building and maintaining strong relationships within the school community.  They will benefit from an excellent support network and a safe, happy school to work at.

“The absolute clarity and commitment of the headteacher in leading a Christian school is shared by all leaders and governors. As a result the whole school community is highly motivated and fully supports the ethos of the school, sharing a ‘can do’ mind-set.” SIAMS - Outstanding July 2017

We are in partnership with All Saints’ Church of England Primary School in Child’s Hill, NW2.  This means that we enjoy many mutual benefits across the two schools, including the ability to offer a wider range of job and promotion opportunities than a stand-alone one-form-entry primary school is able to offer.

Prospective candidates are warmly invited to email or phone the school office for any further information; you will have the opportunity to arrange a zoom meeting or possible school tour with the Executive Headteacher or Head of School.
