We are seeking dedicated and nurturing SEN Teacher’s to join our outstanding teaching team; duties will include tutor responsibility.

Dove House is a popular, successful, and highly regarded school in Basingstoke, for students with severe learning difficulties and autism, aged between 11-19. We are proud to be an ‘Outstanding’ school but retain our passion to keep moving forward.

We are seeking experienced and compassionate teachers, skilled in Primary and/or Secondary teaching, who understand the unique challenges and incredible strength of children with diverse learning needs. You will develop and deliver tailored lesson plans that inspire engagement and progress, working closely with a team of skilled professionals. This is a rewarding opportunity to work in a setting where small steps are celebrated, individuality is valued, and relationships come first.

 

We have positions available to start September 2026.

As a special school Dove House has developed the facilities and teaching expertise to meet the special needs of it’s pupils.

Alongside the National Curriculum for the secondary phase, apart from a modern foreign language, we offer expertise in ASD (Autistic Spectrum Disorder, PALS (Pupil Additional Literacy Support), OT (Occupational Therapy) and SaLT (Speech and Language Therapy) and also offer a comprehensive life skills course which is designed to give each pupil the necessary skills for independent living when they leave school.

  • To provide a curriculum which goes beyond the classroom and prepares the pupil for the adult world of work, leisure and potential parenthood.
