We are looking for a Class Teacher to join our friendly teaching team and help us on our mission to provide our children with the very best educational experience.

Welcome to our School profile. Hook Lane Primary School forms part of the Maritime Academy Trust, a multi-academy trust that is committed to making sure that education is meaningful.
Our Trust is made up of 11 primary schools located in Greenwich, Bexley and Kent. Though our schools may be different with their own in-school culture and community spirit, they all work harmoniously and collaboratively together within a curriculum that ensures each and every child is being equipped with leadership and life skills. Hook Lane is an all-inclusive 2 form entry community school with a Nursery and a 14 place Resource Provision for pupils with Autistic Spectrum Disorder. As a school we celebrate difference and diversity both through our ethos and our curriculum.
Our school motto of “Encouraging Fearless Learners” is at the heart of everything we do and we actively encourage our children to be independent and take risks in their learning. The Hook Lane staff team work collaboratively and have high expectations of our children to ensure they make the best possible progress during their time with us. We recognise that children deserve the opportunity to excel across the curriculum and pride ourselves on providing for ambitious standards in the humanities, arts and PE as well as in English and Maths. We measure success by understanding children’s individual progress and attainment and know that this can look different for each child.
As a community school we are keen to ensure children see the importance of growing into good citizens for the future and understand the important contribution they can make. To this end we work hard to build good relations with our local community through charity fund raising and visiting local businesses, localities and places of interest.
