Job overview
Mayfield is a large special school based over two sites in Handsworth & Lozells which will be joining the Education Impact Academy Trust in 2020. We educate children and young adults between the ages of 2 -19 years who have a diverse range of learning needs. Our ASC pupils are based at our Heathfield Road site and our SLD and PMLD pupils are based at our Wheeler Street site, in a unique setting on a shared site with Lozells Primary and Holte Secondary schools. Both buildings have purpose built facilities to cater for the 301 pupils we currently have on roll. The school is preparing for an exciting new chapter with a new leadership team and are seeking to appoint an outstanding teacher to our full time vacancy within our ASC department. The successful candidate will be an experienced and outstanding classroom practitioner with a passion for teaching and a proven track record. You will be able to inspire and engage our pupils and will be keen to join our committed staff team on our journey to becoming an outstanding school. Previous experience of working within an SEN environment and a desire to work with pupils with a range of learning needs is essential. NQT’s are welcome to apply.
