If you are an excellent teacher who motivates children, has a strong belief in the potential of all learners and wants to work in a dynamic, challenging school then this vacancy is for you!
We are looking to appoint teachers who can help our children to be the very best they can be. Our children genuinely love learning; they enjoy exploring, investigating, writing, researching, playing and they want to succeed.
Many of our families face uncertain and difficult circumstances, which makes it harder for our children to become happy and fulfilled adults. We must ensure that they our children are surrounded by staff who inspire them to become successful, confident and resilient. We want to find the very best people to promote good learning behaviours, support children from different backgrounds, cultures and faiths and encourage our children to think big!
Bowling Park Primary is a busy and dynamic school. We are three form entry, based across two sites (one in BD5 and one in BD4). It is an ambitious, happy and very supportive school with a hard working ethos. Our team is nurturing and has a good sense of humour. As a school, we have established a track record for developing excellent practitioners and ‘growing our own’ teachers, middle and senior leaders. We are heavily involved in initial teacher training, provide excellent support for ECTs and have a bespoke coaching programme. We take pride in watching our staff grow, develop and enjoy new opportunities and achievements. Caring, passionate and intelligent team players fit in well here.
To get a glimpse into life at Bowling Park, please visit our website, social media and YouTube . Visits to school, or telephone calls with our team, are welcomed for any candidates wanting to find out more. Please email matthew.langley@bowlingpark.school to arrange this and we’ll be very happy to help. Application forms should completed through TES or downloaded and returned to fiona.mccrudden@bowlingpark.school.
Please note, this post is open to strong ECT candidates and excellent more-experienced teachers, alike.
There is nothing more important to us than the safeguarding of children. As such, this post will be subject to a DBS check and at least two satisfactory references.

About Bowling Park Primary School

Bowling Park exists to prepare and support children for their future, in a happy, healthy and safe environment. We want all our children to enjoy learning and to have the highest expectations of themselves.
Our school is about preparing children for their futures and life in modern Bradford, Britain and the wider world. We work together with families to build children’s expectations, hopes and ambitions. We want to give all children, regardless of their background, faith, gender, ability or ethnicity, the opportunity to be successful learners, to develop leadership and communication skills, be rounded individuals and build character.
Children at Bowling Park make excellent progress, not just in their learning (our progress scores in 2019 put us in the top 2% of schools nationally) but also as scientists, geographers, explorers, athletes, artists, designers, engineers, friends and more. Our children are determined to have successful, happy and fulfilled lives, despite the many challenges they face. Bowling Park sits in an area of high deprivation, where opportunities are difficult to find and families sometimes have low aspirations for their children. Being a kid in our community can be very difficult.
The logistics of our school are quite unique.. We have two sites that cater for nursery to year 6, which sit one mile apart. We are in the heart of Bradford and span two postcodes, BD4 and BD5, both of which face similar challenges. Our school is three-form entry.
Staff at our school are hard-working, determined and good-humored. They want the very best for our children and families. We have a strong track record of staff development, supportive environment and an open door policy.
