Values and vision
Teachers believe in the importance of children learning key skills and knowledge. The school promotes social, cultural, moral and spiritual British values, as well as teaching students the value of democracy, law, liberty, respect, tolerance, tradition and heritage.
Cliffe House Community Primary School specialises in a thematic and creative approach to learning. Phonics is an integral part of the curriculum. Extra-curricular trips and activities are encouraged, and the school takes its pupils in Key Stage 2 on a camping trip to Bradley Woods.
Ofsted report
“The curriculum is broad and balanced. In addition, the curriculum, including extra-curricular activities, strongly supports pupils’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural development. For example, pupils go on residential trips where they take part in team activities to test and develop their capacity to work collaboratively, to share ideas and be respectful of others’ opinions.”
