Job Description
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a creative, innovative P1 teacher to join our experienced Early Years team at Stenhouse.

The successful candidate will be committed to learning through play and be able to develop a nurturing ethos within a busy classroom.

Experience of working with children with additional needs and managing adults within the classroom setting would be desirable.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside a play specialist EYP as well as PSAs who have all trained in play experiences.

Our P1 classrooms have direct access to our loose play courtyard so an interest in outdoor learning and STEM would be desirable.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by the City of Edinburgh Council.

Salaries will be in accordance with the Scheme of Salaries and Conditions of Service for Teaching Staff in School Education.
