Tes is supporting the appointment of a Class Teacher to join a School based in Cornwall.

Are you a Class Teacher committed to improving the lives of children and young people?

As a Class Teacher, you will take a creative approach to teaching pupils according to their educational needs, maximising children’s achievement, and ability to develop. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching ICT. 

Purpose of the Job

  • To further enhance and develop the curriculum to meet the needs of all students giving them the most relevant skills and knowledge to succeed.
  • Take a lead on whole school e-safety working alongside the DSL to ensure appropriate curriculum coverage
  • To secure high quality teaching, effective use of resources and improve standards of learning and achievement for all pupils in consultation with the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team
  • To teach a range of subjects as necessary to ensure the effective delivery of the school’s curriculum
  • In consultation with the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team undertake other identified areas of responsibility as necessary to ensure effective delivery of the school’s curriculum

Who they are looking for

  • Have Teaching qualifications and experience teaching ICT
  • Have excellent classroom practice
  • Be a dedicated teacher with a experience of working with children with a wide range of special educational needs, including those with complex autism, trauma and attachment related conditions
  • Have significant experience of using recognised and appropriate teaching strategies for this group of learners
  • Be a team player who is able to motivate, lead and support teams of colleagues
  • Have excellent communication and inter-personal skills and be able to communicate effectively with parents, carers and liaise with other professionals
  • Be a professional with vision, creativity, drive and enthusiasm who will contribute to delivering 'the best education for every child'
  • Be an individual who aspires for professional development and career development
