Job overview

Class Teacher vacancies for September 2018

Daventry Hill School is a new co-educational all-through (4-18) school for pupils with special educational needs in Daventry. The school opened in September 2016, with 65 pupils, moving into its own purpose-built premises in January 2017. The school is expected to grow each year until full in 2019. We are currently looking for teachers to support the expansion of the school during its third year of opening, when numbers on role are expected to reach 155.

The school supports pupils who have an EHC Plan which identifies their needs as profound and severe learning difficulties, autistic spectrum disorder, physical disabilities or sensory impairment. We aim to educate the children and young people so that they are fully ready for the next stage of their adult life, and see no limits to what they might achieve.

We are looking for dynamic and innovative teachers (applications are welcome from all phases: Early Years, Primary and Secondary) who see the exciting opportunities of being part of the team within a new special school.

All posts are permanent. Candidates must have an understanding of the developmental learning needs of children and experience of working with pupils with a wide range of learning styles. This is an excellent opportunity for colleagues to extend their continuous  professional development and be a pivotal part of Daventry Hill's journey in its initial years.
