The Abbey CE Academy, a 2 form entry junior school located in Daventry, is looking to recruit an excellent teacher to join our staff team and continue to raise attainment and progress. Our ideal candidate will be well-organised, have excellent classroom and behaviour management skills, be able to work as part of a team to deliver the very best education to the pupils in your care and willing to reinforce our school’s Christian values and ethos.

Who we are looking for

  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • Degree level education or an equivalent professional qualification
  • An understanding of the different ways in which children learn and of a variety of
  • teaching strategies
  • Thorough knowledge of the whole primary curriculum its organisation and assessment
  • for learning
  • Demonstrate a commitment to and an understanding of the processes of inclusion and equal opportunities in particular knowledge of strategies for EAL pupils learning
  • A clear understanding of current educational legislation, issues and debates
  • Successful promotion of positive behaviour management strategies
  • Successful experience of accelerating rates of pupil progress through the use of accurate assessment of and for learning
