Class contact time of 17 hours 45 mins to be worked as follows:
Monday & Tuesday 08.20-16.00, Friday 08.20-13.00

Additional non-class contact time to be worked as agreed with Head Teacher

Sanderson’s Wynd Primary School currently has 14 classes, P1 – P7 and 3 classes in The Hub, ELC provision for pupils with severe and complex needs. The school has a 60:60 place nursery which supports 8 pupils with severe and complex needs. There is also provision for up to 4 children aged 2 years. An After School Club, Wraparound Care, Home Start and a community wing are on site.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a totally inclusive environment.

Job Details

  • To undertake class-teaching duties
  • Teach assigned classes together with associated preparation and correction.
  • Develop the school curriculum.
  • Assess, record and report on the work of pupils.
  • Prepare pupils for examinations and assist with their administration.
  • Provide advice and guidance to pupils on issues related to their education.
  • Promote and safeguard the health, welfare and safety of pupils.
  • Work in partnership with parents, support staff and other professionals.
  • Undertake appropriate and agreed Career Long Professional Development (CLPL).
  • Participate in issues related to school planning, raising achievement and individual review.
  • Contribute towards good order and the wider needs of the school.
