St Anne’s School and Sixth Form College caters for pupils with severe learning difficulties and complex needs aged 2-19 years.  The school is classed as a day school with residential provision and has been categorised by OFSTED as ‘Outstanding’ both in the school and the residence. The Governors seek three Class Teachers on a fixed term basis. Applications from NQT’s are welcome and a secondment will be considered.

Post 1 maternity cover - fixed term until 31 August 2020 or until the return of the post holder.
This is a full time position and whilst it is anticipated the post will be based in our Sixth Form provision it should be noted that cover may be required in all areas of the school and therefore you should be able and willing to teach across all key stages. You should be available to commence the post no later than September 2019. An immediate appointment can be made to cover the remainder of another current period of maternity leave.

Post 2 - fixed term until 20 April 2020.
This is a full time position and whilst it is anticipated the post will be based across our Communication Bases it should be noted that cover may be required in all areas of the school and therefore you should be able and willing to teach across all key stages. You should be available to commence in the post no later than September 2019.

Post 3 fixed term until 31 August 2020.
This is a full time position to meet a change in service needs in 2019/2020. Whilst it is anticipated this position will be based in our Upper School it should be noted that cover may be required in all areas of the school and therefore you should be able and willing to teach across all key stages. You should be available to commence in the post no later than September 2019.

Appointments will be subject to satisfactory checks at enhanced level by the Disclosure and Barring Services and other background checks.

The selection process will include the requirement to teach a class, complete in tray exercises and a formal interview. Please note only candidates who successfully complete the classroom teaching will be required to remain to undertake a formal interview.
