About Annecy Catholic Primary School

Welcome!

Annecy Catholic Primary is a voluntary aided, academy founded by the Catholic Church and named after the town of Annecy in France where a community of nuns are based. A number of whom still resided in a convent in Seaford. We joined the Bosco Catholic Education Trust in February 2019 and have greatly welcomed the collaboration of high achieving Catholic schools across Sussex.

Annecy is part of the Catholic Diocese of Arundel & Brighton, serving the Parish of Seaford, Newhaven and Peacehaven. The school is committed to providing every child, whether Catholic, of any faith or none, with an outstanding education based on our shared Gospel values.

Annecy is blessed with superb facilities; light corridors, bright and well-equipped classrooms and extensive grounds. Offering the best of coast, town and countryside, Seaford is situated between the South coast and the Sussex Downs and between Brighton (10 miles to the West) and Eastbourne (9 miles to the East) all easily accessible by road or rail.

We were graded as ‘Good’ by Ofsted in our most recent inspection in July 2023. Please access our most recent results, Ofsted and Section 48 Inspections reports together with other information on our website www.Annecy.org.uk

Our School Motto:

Inspiring Hearts and Minds

We aim to achieve this by...

  • Creating a safe and loving environment for the whole school community.
  • Enabling everyone to grow spiritually, intellectually, emotionally and physically.
  • Valuing each member of our community by recognising the gifts and needs of every individual.
  • Encouraging self-discipline and treating everyone with respect and courtesy at all times.
  • Working in open and honest partnership with families, the Church and the wider community.

About Bosco Catholic Education Trust

Named after St John Bosco, a nineteenth century Italian priest who dedicated his life to serving children, Bosco CET was set up to serve the Catholic schools of Sussex.  We are presently a group of eight schools who have come together for the benefit of each school and the wider Catholic community. A number of other Catholic schools are in the process of joining us.  We are really excited to be part of this group of schools as we learn a great deal from one another, share a lot of what we do (helping to reduce workload) and support one another in being the best we possibly can be.
