Are you excited about making a difference to children's lives? We are looking for a forward thinking and creative teacher to join our friendly and skilled community.
Children are at the heart of everything we do. Our ethos is underpinned by the Chesterfield Values and, as a result children exhibit very good ‘behaviour for learning’. An exciting curriculum and dedicated staff motivate our children to become resilient and successful learners.
Growth Mindset and a healthy work-life balance are also important to us, so we have embedded a ‘no marking’ Feedback for Learning Policy. This allows children to have a voice and take responsibility for their learning, with targeted guidance from staff, so that they make good progress.
Our school provides a bright and modern learning environment both inside and out - including a Creative Hub (for art, cooking and design & technology) and refitted classrooms. As an inclusive school, we are proud to meet the needs of all our pupils.
We understand that staff need good access to technology so, as an Apple school, teachers are provided with a MacBook and all classrooms have the use of iPads and laptops.
We are part of the Enfield Learning Trust, a partnership of successful primary schools in Enfield who have a shared motto, ‘Be Included.’ As part of the Trust we are strongly committed to providing high quality professional development and career progression for all staff. We are able to offer significant opportunities to work in collaboration with colleagues at this school and across the Trust.
The well-being of our staff is of paramount importance. We are constantly reviewing our practices to ensure that our staff can focus on what matters: providing a rich environment in which children can learn and thrive. As part of the Trust, we offer:
• Immediate feedback to reduce over-burdensome marking
• Well-being days
• Perkbox app – with access to hundreds of exclusive company perks such as high street discounts
• Modern technology for home and school use
• PPA offsite
• Employee support hub
• Attendance reward scheme
We welcome and encourage visits from all interested applicants. Should you wish to arrange an appointment, please contact Kelly Gradwell, Headteacher on 01992 760678.
