Students also work to develop their functional literacy, numeracy and ICT skills. The students within Life Skills generally have Severe Learning Difficulties and/or Autism.

We would love to hear from teachers with experience of special education. What is important is the desire and motivation to make a difference to our students’ lives. We believe that all of our students are capable of making outstanding progress and we want to appoint individuals who share our belief.

We offer a comprehensive induction and Inset programme for our staff, a pension scheme and employee assistance programme. Our College offers a friendly place to work with a supportive Senior Leadership Team.

Great Oaks College is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people, and anyone applying to work at the College is expected to share this commitment.
