Tes is supporting the appointment of a Class Teacher – Formal Pathway, with Humanities and pastoral responsibilities to join a school based in Wandsworth.
The teacher will have pastoral responsibility for a class and for the delivery of Humanities across the department. The successful candidate will be expected to provide a holistic education ensuring that the needs of each individual pupil are met. This will involve ongoing and close liaison with parents/carers, colleagues, therapists and other professionals.
The Teacher will be expected to:
- Set high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge pupils
- Promote good progress and outcomes
- Demonstrate good subject and curriculum knowledge
- Plan and teach well-structured lessons
- Adapt teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of all pupils
- Make accurate and productive use of assessment
- Manage behaviour effectively to ensure a good and safe learning environment
- Fulfil wider professional responsibilities as required
