Job overview

Drapers’ Maylands Primary School is unique. Our children not only achieve excellent results, but they explore in the forest, learn to be negotiators and peacemakers, dance to Caribbean drums, become puppeteers, and enjoy eating a cooked lunch with their friends and teachers every day. They do all of this in a modern state-of-the-art building with exceptional facilities.

We are conscientious and progressive professionals, committed to creating an excellent learning environment for all children. Our dedicated staff have high expectations which are equally supported by parents, carers and the governing body in our journey to be recognised as an exceptional school.

Our teacher will…

  • Inspire learners by engaging them with fun and interesting opportunities.
  • Have a track record of raising achievement and progress.
  • Have a sense of humour, a conscientious attitude and great communication skills.
  • Be enthusiastic about the vision and values of our new school.

In return, we can offer…

  • Respectful, well-behaved and enthusiastic learners.
  • A strong commitment to your professional development.
  • A talented, enthusiastic and committed team of colleagues.
  • Opportunities to use and develop progressive approaches to learning.
  • A supportive network of schools within a successful Multi-Academy Trust founded by The Drapers’ Company and Queen Mary University of London.

Visits to the school are encouraged so that you can see what we do differently and meet the team. If you would like to visit the school, please come along at 9.30am on either Wednesday 8th February or Monday 20th February.

Closing date: 9.00am on Friday, 24th February 2016.
