Job overview

Trinity Multi-Academy Trust is a growing, high-performing CoE School Trust.  It currently comprises 6 academies, across secondary, primary and post-16 phases.  Its impact and growth means further opportunities are available in its primary sector.

Akroydon Primary Academy joined the Trust in February 2017 and, in its first two years, has increased its KS2 headline measure by 45%. This outcome has meant the academy is the most improved primary school in the Calderdale authority, and in the top 1% of most improved schools nationally.

St Chad’s Church of England Primary Academy joined the Trust in March 2019 and since joining has achieved results significantly above the national average across all areas.  At KS2, 77% of pupils achieved the expected standard across Reading, Writing and Mathematics (RWM), some 12% higher than the national average.

We achieve our exceptional result through ensuring that children are educated in an environment that is inspiring and nurturing.  We have exciting plans for our growth and continued improvement and this is an excellent opportunity to be part of our academy community.

We are seeking to appoint dynamic, passionate and inspirational KS1 and KS2 teachers who have excellent subject knowledge and are able to contribute to continued improvements in pupil progress.  These roles would suit either newly qualified teachers or experienced practitioners looking for new challenges.

Start date: January 2020

Closing date: 9am Monday 21 October 2019

Interviews:Week commencing 21 October 2019

Trinity Multi Academy Trust is a Diocesan multi academy trust that is open to schools of all faiths and none. The trust is committed to working within a respectful and compassionate environment and exists to serve the students in its care. We encourage all schools within the trust to celebrate their distinctive identity, whilst actively supporting each other to share best practice and their commitment to continual improvement.

In 2010, when Trinity Academy Halifax (TAH) opened in Calderdale, the plan was to address a decade of underperformance at secondary school level. Since then the academy has been rated as ‘outstanding’ twice. It has also established Trinity Institute of Education (formerly Trinity Teaching School Alliance) and the West Yorkshire Maths Hub, both of which have helped to raise pupil performance in hundreds of schools across the country.

In 2015 Trinity MAT was established. It now contains ten academies covering from nursery stage through to post-16, including two brand new secondary schools which opened in September 2021. The MAT has seen numerous educational changes but one thing has remained constant; we know what works, and so we have formed a group of like-minded schools to make a positive difference on a wider scale.

Our people are key to our continued growth and success. There is a relentless focus on improving standards for all children and young people in our care.  Working within the trust gives all staff the opportunity to work with some of the best practitioners and leaders, regardless of your location.

Our improvement strategies are based on clear systems and support, from our outstanding behaviour systems to regular teacher led CPD sessions, the trust recognises the value of empowering staff through quality weekly CPD, training and support. At the heart of our people strategies are the opportunities for staff at all levels to develop and progress their career.
