Full Time (37.5hrs per week) / Salary: Main Teacher Scale: M1 - M6 (UPS may be considered) - Inner London weighting will apply to this role.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Class Teacher to join The Children’s Trust School. As an exceptional communicator, who's observant; dedicated; and enjoys working as part of a close-knit team, you will be required to coordinate classroom teaching, learning, monitoring and evaluation activities.
With experience of working in a complex environment, as well as possessing SEN teaching experience and Qualified Teaching Status, you will be exceptionally organised with excellent inter-personal skills and a high-level of attention to detail.
The Children’s Trust is the UK’s leading charity for children with acquired brain injury, providing expert rehabilitation, education, therapy and care at our national specialist centre in Tadworth, and to children and their families across the UK, via our Brain Injury Community Service. Boasting a beautiful 24-acre site in Surrey, we are located just outside of London, close to the M25 (accessible via Junction 8, A217 to Tadworth) and easily accessible via National Rail, by way of: Clapham Junction, Sutton and Epsom.
As a non-maintained special school, we pride ourselves on seeing each individual as a ‘whole’ and delivering integrated, holistic education, therapy and care for pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties. We aim to provide high quality education and expertise, whilst providing individualised learning opportunities for each pupil, to support their development in communication, language and literacy skills, as well as their cognitive development, physical skills, environmental control, and their social, emotional and personal well-being.
The work we do is highly rewarding, and in addition to an attractive salary, we offer a valuable range of benefits, including: free on-site parking; subsidised cafeteria; on-site staff accommodation (subject to availability); the ability to retain your Teacher’s pension (where applicable) or the opportunity to join an alternative scheme; and the opportunity to develop and implement your expertise in an environment that is as unusual in its beautiful historic nature, as it is unique in its state-of-the-art facilities.
