An exciting opportunity for a Class Teacher to join us on a temporary basis from September to cover maternity leave. This is a part-time role with the requirement to work on Tuesdays and Thursdays only. Qualified Teacher Status and experience of teaching mixed ability classes of primary age and/or EYFS are essential for this role. The school’s classrooms are purpose-built with excellent indoor and outdoor facilities. There are weekly staff meetings, and plenty of support is given by colleagues in the Common Room. King’s Rochester is a mixed, non-selective, Church of England, all-through school with nursery classes and sixth form situated in Rochester, Kent. It is an independent school with boarding provision and an associate member of the Woodard Foundation. A smaller than average school, King’s Rochester provides 800 places for nursery, preparatory, senior and sixth-form students between the ages of 3 and 18 when fully subscribed.
The oldest choir school and the second oldest school in the world, King’s Rochester has roots dating back to the founding of Rochester Cathedral in the year 604 AD. King Henry VIII refounded the school in 1542.
