Job overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative teacher to work as part of our team; someone who can inspire our pupils and contribute to the life and work of our school.

The vacancy is in our Primary 7 class and is to cover the secondment of the class teacher to a promoted post.

As the successful applicant, you will be an excellent classroom teacher with experience teaching CfE Second Level. You will be skilled at establishing positive relationships with pupils and colleagues alike and keen to participate fully as a member of our school community.

Our school serves a wide catchment area, including Birnam and Dunkeld, as well as Amulree and Glen Quaich, Dowally, Kincraigie and Butterstone.  There are seven primary classes which are currently single stage, as well as a wonderful Nursery which allows us to provide a seamless transition to Primary 1.

 

The Individual
You will have:

 - Ability to plan, teach and assess high quality learning experiences.

 - Knowledge and understanding of CfE (in particular Second Level).

 - Ability to assess pupil progress and to plan for the needs of all pupils.

 - Ability to motivate and engage children in active learning.

 - Ability to use information and communication technology to support and enhance learning and teaching experiences.

 - Willingness to contribute to and promote the development of  the positive ethos of the school.

 - Ability to promote and develop working partnerships with colleagues, other professionals, parents and the wider community.
