The Welland Academy formally joined the Greenwood Academies Trust on 1 October 2013. The Academy has wonderful resources in terms of a recent new build and attractive outdoor learning areas. Staff support at the Welland Academy is extensive with high level capacity being provided by the sponsor Trust.

The Academy is sponsored by the Greenwood Academies Trust (GAT), a not-for-profit multi Academy sponsor which specialises in working with schools in challenging circumstances and has a proven track record of delivering significant improvement.

Welland is an academy with high expectations of both its staff and pupils. Getting the basics right in terms of attendance, uniform and behaviour provide a firm foundation for staff to be effective in the classroom and help pupils go above and beyond expectations. Pupil performance at key stage two will hit floor targets for the first time this academic year.
