Strathmore is a day special school for learners with severe and complex learning difficulties, and we are dedicated to preparing every learner to become an active contributor to their community by championing independence, engaging families and promoting communication. 65% of our learners have a co- diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Disorder or have additional physical and sensory disabilities. Our learners come from all parts of the borough and from neighbouring boroughs. Every learner has an Education, Health and Care Plan and we work closely with our colleagues from Educational Psychology, Health, Social Care and a Multi-Therapy Team to support each learner to progress towards their outcomes. We have very high aspirations for all of our learners and high expectations of ourselves and welcome applications from like minded teachers.
