Our Summerhouse Behaviour Support Service is looking for a passionate and dedicated Class Teacher to join our amazing team and help make a difference today.

 

About the Role:

We are seeking a reflective and resilient Class Teacher to join our specialist provision in Southwark. Summerhouse supports primary-aged pupils with SEMH needs who are dual-registered with their mainstream schools. Pupils typically attend on a part-time basis for two terms, with the aim of reintegration.

 

You’ll deliver a therapeutic and personalised curriculum that supports emotional wellbeing, social development, and academic progress. Working collaboratively with families, schools, and external partners, you'll play a key role in each child’s journey.

 

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

·      A qualified teacher with substantial primary teaching experience.

·      Skilled in positive behaviour management and building trusting relationships.

·      Committed to inclusive, relational, and trauma-informed practice.

·      Experienced in working with SEMH/SEBD or eager to develop in this area.

·      Confident in working collaboratively with schools, families, and multi-agency teams.

·      Ready to lead a subject area or keen to develop into subject leadership.

·      Adaptable, compassionate, and a strong team player.
