We have an exciting opportunity for a teacher to join our small team within our intensive support provision.

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic teacher of pupils with a range of additional support needs (ASN).

The ideal candidate will have experience of working with children with ASN of primary age, either within a mainstream or specialised setting.

An ability to show patience, understanding and a willingness to adapt to the needs of individual children is essential. 

Knowledge of conditions of ASD and ADHD along with a good understanding of global developmental delay is essential.

Experience of supporting children who display distressed and at times challenging behaviour in a calm consistent and restorative manner is also essential.

A knowledge or experience of using Makaton and/or other forms of supporting communication is preferred but not essential.

Tulloch Primary School is situated in the Tulloch area of north west Perth. The school was established in 1969 and in February 2018 we moved from our original school building to our modern, newly built school. In our wonderful new school we continue to pride ourselves in being a welcoming, successful place where we work together. Our school motto is ‘Courage and Compassion’ and we continually strive to ensure that our children have the confidence to face new challenges. Tulloch Primary School has a large team of staff who are nurturing and committed to the success of our children. The current school roll is 390 made up of 14 classes and our Intensive Support Provision. Our Nursery has the capacity to provide early learning and childcare for a maximum of 56 children aged three- five and 10 children aged 2.
