Sanderson's Wynd Primary School is a vibrant, inclusive community school with many new learning opportunities on offer. You will have the opportunity to work alongside a passionate team of professional people. This position has arisen as a result of the PEF funding and is an exciting opportunity to work alongside an established support for learning teacher to increase our capacity to support our children in school to overcome barriers to learning. The school has a HUB attached to the mainstream primary catering for pupils between the age of 2-11 with severe and complex needs. We also have a 60:60 nursery and a severe and complex needs nursery. Visits to the school are welcome by appointment.

Job Details

To undertake class-teaching duties in accordance with the SNCT Handbook of the National Scheme of Salaries and Conditions of Service.

To provide support to staff and pupils to identify and address additional support needs, through a range of assessment and intervention strategies, within the five roles of Support for Leaning:

  • Co-operative teaching
  • Consultancy
  • Teaching individuals and groups
  • Providing specialist services
  • Staff development and training
