This is a fixed-term contract from September 2026 for one academic year. The phase is flexible; applicants interested in EYFS, KS1 or KS2 are warmly encouraged to apply.
We are seeking a committed classroom practitioner who believes in inclusive education and understands the importance of relationships, high expectations and evidence-based teaching approaches. You will join a school where professional learning is valued and where staff wellbeing and collaboration sit at the heart of our culture.

Strong subject and curriculum knowledge
An understanding of evidence-informed teaching approaches
A belief that all children can succeed, regardless of background or need
Secure behaviour management rooted in relationships and consistency
The ability to use assessment to adapt teaching and secure progress
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
A reflective, proactive and solution-focused mindset
Enthusiasm for continuous professional learning
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:

Maintain high expectations for behaviour, conduct and learning
Assess and monitor pupil progress to inform next steps
Create a safe, stimulating and purposeful classroom environment
Work collaboratively with colleagues, families and external partners
Contribute positively to the wider life and ethos of the school
For experienced teachers: lead and develop a curriculum subject in line with school priorities
Engage fully in professional development and coaching opportunities
Uphold Franciscan’s commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and belonging
Professional Conduct
As a teacher at Franciscan, you will be expected to:
Model high standards of professionalism and integrity
Treat all pupils with dignity, respect and fairness
Maintain appropriate professional boundaries at all times
Uphold British values and the ethos of the school
Commit fully to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

At Franciscan, teaching and learning are rooted in research-informed practice. Staff engage in ongoing professional dialogue, coaching and CPD focused on strong curriculum design, adaptive teaching and disciplinary literacy. Whether you are at the beginning of your career or bring extensive classroom experience, you will be supported to grow and thrive.
