Job overview

Stepney Park Primary School is a newly established three and four form entry school which opened its doors for the first time in September 2020.

We are situated in the heart of London’s ethnically and economically diverse East End and are an amalgamation of two already successful neighbouring primary schools: Redlands Primary School and Smithy Street Primary school.

We have many fantastic resources, including our own forest, an art studio, a cookery suite and an amazing playground.

Our ICT infrastructure is excellent: we have two ICT suites, all of our children have a Chromebook, all staff have use of a personal Ipad and we are ready to take on the next challenge of embedding Digital Learning in classes.

Our curriculum provision is exciting, learning happens in rich contexts and we strive to make best use of all the unique and exciting learning opportunities on our doorstep in London.

We passionately believe in Inclusion and have a highly specialised team of professionals working with our SEND children. Our children are welcoming, eager to learn and they display very good behaviour.

Our amazing teaching team has shown incredible resilience and commitment during these challenging Covid and amalgamation times. We have a mixture of experienced staff and those new to the profession who all work closely together. They have made a great start with the implementation of our very exciting curriculum, both digitally and beyond. You will work in a year group team alongside at least two or three highly motivated class teachers, alongside supportive senior leaders and will have access to excellent professional development opportunities, including leadership.

Working in Stepney Park Primary School will give you the opportunity to be part of something unique, you will be able to help us shape the future of our brand new school.

Working here in Tower Hamlets, one of the most successful Local Authorities in the country, will enable you to benefit from working in close partnership with many other successful schools.

We are looking for someone dynamic and creative, someone who has a passion for cutting edge curriculum innovation and a commitment to develop their own practice .
