Here at Ark John Archer Primary Academy, we aspire for all of our pupils to reach their full potential both academically and socially and, with this in mind, aim to develop highly aspirational, emotionally literate and knowledgeable individuals who have a genuine passion for learning and a positive sense of identity. From Early Years to Year 6, our curriculum should build the foundations on which life-long learners and confident leaders of the future can grow.

Deep rooted within our vision is the need for pupils to be exposed to practical, creative, engaging and challenging opportunities that develop their natural curiosity to learn, broadens their understanding and ‘brings learning to life’. We believe that by working Together As One we can provide our pupils with the strong start to their journey in education that they need, and more importantly, deserve.

The Ark John Archer Curriculum is rooted in five key principles:

• Knowledge rich and learning through enquiry

•A holistic approach to learning

•Inspiring joy for learning

•Developing character

•Parents as partners

Life at our School

Ark John Archer Primary Academy is a school that represents our local community, with its cultural diversity this brings a wealth of opportunity to develop and meet our children’s academic and non-academic needs. Our parent workshops enable families to understand more about specific topics, such as how we teach maths, or issues such as e-safety. Our open-door policy enables parents, carers and family members as well as the pupils to ask any questions and to have their say.

Through our motto ‘Together as One”, we aim to educate the whole child in order for them to reach their potential. Pupil wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do. Our values of Aspiration, Respect, Achievement, Community, Resilience & Kindness underpin our everyday life and we encourage everyone to be the best that they can possibly be, helping each other every step of the way.
