Class Teacher

Meldrum Primary School is a non-denominational school serving the community of Livingston. The school accommodates 8 primary classes and has a new nursery class - Deans North Nursery. The school roll is currently 190 pupils.

The school and nursery is staffed by a Head Teacher, 2 Principal Teachers, 10 teaching staff, 2 nursery nurses, 1 Early Years Officer, 4 Pupil Support Workers and a school secretary.

The school also has a PE specialist one day a week and an Art specialist on 2 days.

The school has high expectations of pupil attainment, achievement and behaviour. The staff team works well together to improve learning opportunities for all learners and to build capacity for leadership at all levels.

The school works closely with primary and secondary schools as part of the Deans Cluster. The school is well supported by the Parent Council and has close links with the local community in order to further support pupil learning.
