Our Lady’s Primary School are looking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic class teacher to join our dynamic team.

Our Lady’s Primary School is a denominational school serving the community of Stoneyburn, West Lothian. The school sits within the St. Kentigern’s Academy cluster. At present, the school roll is 80 children in addition to a Nursery provision for 45 children.

The management team consists of a 0.5 Head Teacher and Full time Principal Teacher.

A relevant teaching qualification and registration with the General Teaching Council for Scotland is essential

Written approval by the Catholic Church will be required for this position.

This post is considered Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scotland Act 2007. From 28 February 2011 preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council.

The fee for a Full PVG Scheme Membership is £59 or Existing Member is £18. The £59 cost (where appropriate) will be deducted from your salary over a 1 or 3 month period by repayment schedule.  If your employment concludes before the amount is re-paid in full, the outstanding balance will be deducted from your final salary.
