Class Teacher

St Joseph’s Primary is a denominational school serving the community of Whitburn, Bathgate. St. Joseph’s Primary School is a member of the St Kentigern’s Academy Cluster Group.

Our current roll is 245 pupils in P1-7 classes and 60 in the nursery, comprising 30 in the morning nursery class and 30 in the afternoon nursery class. The school currently has one composite classes and ten straight classes.

The school management team is made up of the HT and DHT. Nursery classes are supported by a nursery teacher & nursery nurses.

Distributed leadership is promoted across the whole staff. Staff demonstrate strong collegiality and teamwork which maintains the positive climate for learning in the school.

Nurture group approaches and strong partnership working supports developments in key areas of learning across the school and nursery classes to meet the wide range of GIRFEC needs.

The school works closely with the Parent Council, local parish and wider community.

The school runs a very successful breakfast club and provides after school clubs at various times throughout the year.
