Balbardie Primary School is a non-denominational school serving the community of Bathgate. The school accommodates 16 mainstream primary classes and three Autism Resource classes.
Bathgate West Nursery School serves the community of Bathgate and the surrounding area. The current nursery roll is 50 morning and 40 afternoon children.
The school and nursery is currently staffed by a Head Teacher, a Depute Head Teacher, 4 Principal Teachers, 24 teaching staff, 5 nursery nurses, 1 Early Years Officer, 15 Pupil Support
Workers and 3 Office staff. The school also has one full time PE Specialist and a part time Drama Specialist.
The school roll is currently 450. The school has a wide ranging catchment area, with approximately 50% of children attending in Deciles 1, 2 and 3, providing an exciting opportunity for the school to address the ‘closing the gap’ agenda.
The school provides extensive support to parents and families to ensure children’s social, emotional and wellbeing needs are being met.
The school has a supportive parent body and works closely with the local community to establish effective links to support our children’s learning.
