Job overview
Cuckoo Hall Academy is a great place to work. We have wonderful children, a vibrant, multicultural community and a dedicated team who place the wellbeing, personal development and education of our children at the heart of everything we do.
Our school is welcoming, friendly and inclusive. We share a clear vision for improving our children’s life chances through providing equality of opportunity, raising aspirations and fostering a love of learning.
Our children are happy, well-behaved and polite. They have a desire to learn and make progress and enjoy coming to school.
The leadership team is now looking to further grow the layer of middle leaders by appointing an outstanding class teacher to lead on key areas of school improvement. The successful candidates will work collaboratively within our team and lead on the development of English across the school.
This is a class based position with regular release time to ensure you have impact on school improvement. The school is also committed to your professional development so you will have ongoing support from the senior leadership team and will attend appropriate training and development opportunities. You will be given support, time and space to grow as a leader and improve teaching and learning across the school.
You must be a great teacher who has a passion for developing high quality teaching and learning, believe in sharing best practice and have the ability to inspire and motivate others. You must have good subject knowledge within the English curriculum and have some experience of leading a curriculum area or aspect of school life.
Working within Cuckoo Hall Academy Trust is a positive experience and brings many benefits, including:
- CPD and opportunities across the Trust
- CHAT allowance £2600
- Healthshield membership (support with everyday wellbeing costs)
- Access to affordable CHAT key worker accommodation
If you want to make a real difference to children and have the drive, ambition and skills to lead and improve teaching and learning, then we would like to hear from you.
Due to Covid-19, visits to the school are not possible. However, please look at the school website and contact the school office, on the number or email below, to arrange a telephone call with the Headteacher.
