We have a vacancy for a Classroom Support Assistant within Beaumont Hill Academy. The post is to start as soon as possible.

Salary: £7,035 - £7,340 per annum
Benefits & Grade: Grade G SCP 11-13
Contract Details: Term Time Only
Contract Hours: 18.75 hours per week

The successful candidates will support with the personal care and welfare of pupils within the school and assist in the maintenance of a safe environment for pupils.

Duties will include:

  • Liaison with appropriate staff re specific pupil needs (feeding/ toilet programmes)
  • Seeing to the personal care of those pupils who require full welfare support (Hoist training and lifting and handling)
  • Encouraging independence and self-help skills in the bathroom.
  • Maintain toileting records where necessarySupervision of students at lunchtime anywhere on the school site. This will include duties in the dining area.

Our school is a specialist provider for children with special educational needs aged 2 - 19. Children who attend this school will usually have a Statement of Educational Need or an Education, Health and Care Plan.We cater for students with complex learning needs, students with autistic spectrum conditions and others with identified social, emotional and behavioural difficulties. 

Beaumont Hill is an exciting and dynamic school in which there are opportunities for every child to succeed in their own way. We offer a curriculum that meets the very diverse needs of all our learners, while providing opportunities for inclusive activities and enhanced social experiences. The large staff group includes teachers, teaching assistants, Speech & Language Therapists, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists and Family Support Workers.
