We are currently seeking a Classroom Support Assistant at St Francis of Assisi Primary School, Calwell. The successful applicant will be able to provide in class support, enabling teachers to provide for identified special needs students as they work to achieve the academic goals and social skills required for independent learning and confident participation at St Francis and in the wider community. The successful applicant will also have effective organisational skills that will assist in the delivery of efficient education programs. Additionally, they will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with students with learning needs, and liaise with parents, teachers and community members.

Applications are invited from interested candidates able to demonstrate a commitment to the aims of Catholic Education.

Please note that this is a temporary part-time position commencing ASAP to 9 April 2020 being a term one position only. The successful candidate must be available to work Tuesday to Friday from 9.00am to 3.00pm. A pro-rata salary amount will be paid for part-time appointments. Additionally, note that this position was created for a specific initiative or programme funded by Catholic Education.

This position involves working with children. The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child related employment in accordance with CE policy.
