Job overview

Heathland School is looking for a creative, positive and committed teacher to join our amazing staff team.

Heathland School is part of The Whitefriars Heathland Federation, a multi-academy trust comprising of two outstanding schools, Heathland school and Whitefriars School in Harrow. Heathland School is a 3-form entry primary school judged to be outstanding by Ofsted 2010 and 2014.

Our Federation of two schools is underpinned by a Values based ethos that helps everyone work together cooperatively with mutual respect. We promote harmony through dialogue and reflection. From the early years to the Year 6 we offer an active curriculum that is designed to engage and excite all our pupils. We take an individualised ‘next steps’ approach to learning to ensure that all pupils make excellent progress.

Our pupils make rapid progress in an environment of positivity and care where expectations are high. Our Values are at the heart of everything we do and we believe that anyone can learn anything when they feel safe, secure and happy.

Heathland School are looking to recruit a brilliant Key Stage 2 teacher who will also take on the role of Humanities (History and Geography) Faculty Leader for a maternity cover position. We would like to find staff who share our values-based ethos and can create a dynamic classroom culture that enables pupils to fully engage with well-planned and delivered lessons. This role will require reliable and enthusiastic teachers who are able to build strong relationships with all pupils across the school.

We are particularly interested to hear from teachers who have a high level of skill and experience in supporting staff to develop their teaching of history and geography. As Faculty Lead you will work closely with our SLT team to plan and develop our already strong strand of history and geography throughout our Topic based curriculum.

We welcome applications from NQT’s as well as experienced teachers.
