Classroom Teacher

We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and enthusiastic Classroom Teacher who is motivated to work with pupils with a wide range of Special Educational Needs.

Hazelbeck School is an outstanding secondary age special school for pupils with a diverse range of special educational needs and/or disabilities. We have both formal and informal links with our co-located mainstream secondary school and we are committed to working inclusively to benefit all of our students.

Our core purpose is to provide a learning environment which enables every student to feel safe, secure, valued and happy. Our aim is to enable our learners to develop their self-help, independence, communication and social skills in order to prepare them for their future lives.

We are looking for a highly motivated and committed class teacher to take responsibility for a pastoral group and to lead their learning, initially working with students who have profound and multiple learning difficulties and autism. This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher with the potential to be outstanding and with the vision, desire and leadership skills to shape exciting and challenging experiences for our learners.
