We are looking to appoint 2 Classroom Teachers commencing from September 2022.

We are looking for an innovative teacher to join the team from September 2022. We are seeking people who have a passion for, and interest in, children’s learning.  

Pentland Field has up to 150 pupils aged 4-19, with a range of moderate learning difficulties. Some pupils also have severe learning difficulties. Some pupils have additional social, emotional and behavioural challenges to work through. A significant proportion of pupils have an Autistic Spectrum Condition diagnosis, or present with more complex social and communication difficulties. A small but significant group of pupils have Higher Sensory Processing Needs. 

Children work in small classes with highly supportive and skilled teaching assistant teams. This includes the provision of support staff with a SaLT specialism.

As an all through school, we welcome applications from teachers who have experience teaching within any key phase from Early Years to Post 16, particularly those with an interest / experience of KS4 & KS5 pupils. Special school experience is not a requirement, but the successful candidate will have had success working with children with SEN with confident and competent practice.
