Salary Range:  $69,348 - $116,220 + Superannuation (based on skills and experience)

Mother Teresa School caters for students from four years of age, where students are enrolled in our Early Learning Centre, to students in Year Six. About the Role

We are currently seeking a Classroom Teacher to join our inclusive and vibrant team. An ability to contribute in any area would be beneficial. The successful applicant will have strong classroom management skills, and excellent communication skills.

Essential Criteria

• A commitment to Catholic education and the promotion of the mission of the Catholic Church.
• Well-developed self-awareness and the ability to reflection on your own performance, integrity, and resilience.
• The passion and expertise to work individually and collectively with students, to maximise the learning outcomes for each one, including those with additional learning needs.
• Demonstrated high-level teaching skills, particularly in Literacy and Numeracy across all key learning areas.
• An ability to engage learners in lessons and units of work that inspire curiosity and problem solving.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including the capacity to develop productive and caring relationships with students, parents and staff.
• The passion and expertise to work individually and collectively with students, to maximise the learning outcomes for each one, including those with additional learning needs.
• Demonstrated capacity and willingness to develop students’ unique capabilities through extra-curricular activities.

This position is temporary in nature because the substantive occupant (the incumbent) is taking parental leave. The incumbent is entitled to return earlier to their substantive position in accordance with the Fair Work Act 2009.
