Facilities

St Joseph’s Primary School has a number of Chromebooks at the school, to support the modern learning strategy of the Diocese of Armidale.

Curriculum

Classes at St Joseph's Primary are small, to give students individual attention, and multi-age. The mix of age groups gives younger students positive role models to look up to and a peer to help mentor them. The school believes in adapting to the different learning styles of all students and pushing them to become curious, independent learners.

The school’s Religious Education adheres to the Armidale Diocesan Curriculum, using the text ‘To Know, Worship and Love’. School prayer is part of daily life and students attend Mass and Liturgies throughout the year. St Joseph’s also supports sacramental programmes such as First Holy Communion and Confirmation.

School ethos

The school’s motto is ‘privileged to be involved in shaping tomorrow’s future’. St Joseph’s Primary brings an emphasis on tailoring it’s teaching to the individual learning needs of each student, rather than a ‘one size fits all’ approach. Students are also encouraged to reflect and take risks in their learning.
