Cuckoo Hall Academies Trust (C.H.A.T.) is the Charitable Trust set up to run and manage four Primary and one Secondary Academies serving approximately 1800 children.  Based in Edmonton we are focused on driving up the quality of education provision and standards.

We are looking to recruit a Cleaner to provide cleaning services in Heron Hall and Cuckoo Hall Academy. The successful candidates will be responsible for the delivery of high quality work and the operation of heavy cleaning equipment. They may provide cleaning services at any of our sites and emergency cover when required.

Hours: 35 Hours a week- 7am-9am & 2pm-7pm

DUTIES:  To include: 

Carrying out works involving the use of heavy cleaning machinery.

Ensuring that the School premises and furnishings are cleaned to a satisfactory standard in accordance with set requirements and methods.

Carrying out emergency cleaning measures, as necessary, following storms, break-ins, and vandalism and body spillages.

To ensure that a high level of cleanliness is maintained throughout the school on a daily basis.

Each cleaner will be responsible for an area and will be expected to clean to the frequency and standards set out.

To ensure standards and procedures are adhered to.

To use cleaning materials appropriately, as instructed and economically; to inform Line Manager when stocks are low.

To ensure that tools and equipment are in good working order, reporting any faults to Line Manager.

All cleaners are required to contribute to major cleaning tasks during school holidays

Empty and clean bins and remove waste to designated area, including the separation of waste, i.e. recycling.

To clean internal glass and internal and external door glass

Where practicable ensure windows and doors are closed and lights switched off.

Report to Line Manager any defects seen which are likely to affect security i.e. Broken/cracked window etc.

Cleaners will be required to use electrical and mechanical equipment, floor polishers etc. after appropriate training.

The cleaner is required to use only approved cleaning materials and in accordance with manufacturers printed instructions and COSHH regulations. Chemicals should never be mixed with other chemicals.

To be aware of their responsibilities for Health & Safety of themselves and others.

Undertake any other additional duties required by your Line Manager
